The Rundown 2022 champions youth empowerment, partners with COMELEC

Poised to be one of the most critical national elections in our history, the 2022 national polls will echo the ultimate voice of the Filipino people and define the future we, and the next generations, will be heading   to.

With the youth accounting for more than half of the country’s registered voters for 2022, The Rundown: A Youth-Oriented Senate Elections Forum commits to delivering an impartial and informative elections forum for the youth, by the youth. This year, The Rundown 2022 champions the theme of Youth at the Forefront of Change: Transforming Conversations into Collective Action.

Since 2013, young voters have been given the chance to engage with senatorial candidates in a series of panel discussions, rapid fire questions, and open forums as they tackle the most pressing issues of our time. This 2022, The Rundown continues to put youth empowerment at its core as it provides a platform for senatorial candidates such as Risa Hontiveros, Carl Balita, Chel Diokno, Samira Gutoc, Antonio  Trillanes IV, Roy Cabonegro, and Carmen Zubiaga to both share their plans and sense what concerns the youth sector.

In its previous editions, the forum has been endorsed by government agencies such as the Department   of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA). This year, The Rundown has partnered with Mayani, a fast-growing agri-enterprise as one of its chief community partners, and the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) as their Official Youth Senate Elections Forum.

For the first time in The Rundown history, the forum will be livestreamed on The Rundown: A Youth-Oriented Senate Elections Forum on Facebook this coming March 12, 2022, Saturday from 3:00 to 6:30 p.m. The forum will likewise be aired on the ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC) TV channel and YouTube page.
