The Palawan Group of Companies has been recognized with six major awards at the MarkeTech APAC: What’s NEXT in Marketing Advertising Awards Asia Pacific, held at One Farrer Hotel in Singapore on July 29, 2026, underscoring the strength of its creative marketing, digital storytelling, and commitment to making financial services more accessible to Filipinos.

Through its fintech arm PalawanPay, which is trusted by over 23 million users, the Palawan Group received Gold and Silver in the Best Use of Humour in Advertising category for the campaigns “Tindahang Butas” featuring social media personality ArmanSalon, and “2nd Wallet,” respectively, both developed in partnership with Katok by GIGIL Manila. PalawanPay also earned Bronze in the Best Brand Storytelling category, recognizing its ability to connect with Filipinos through campaigns that are entertaining, relatable, and meaningful.

ProtekTODO, the insurance product of Palawan Group of Companies, PPS Insurance Agency Inc., likewise delivered a strong showing, winning Silver for Best YouTube Campaign and Bronze for Best Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Campaign for Project Sachet, a campaign that highlights affordable, accessible insurance for everyday Filipinos. In the Philippines, many households buy tingi-tingi products: one sachet of shampoo, one packet of coffee, one egg, a few pieces of bread, or a small amount of cooking oil. This is not simply a preference for small quantities; it is often a way of matching purchases to manage expenses. ProtekTODO applies the same logic to insurance. Traditionally, insurance feels expensive, complicated, and out of reach.
Together with our insurance partners: Liberty Insurance, AlliedBankers Insurance, and Oona Insurance, ProtekTODO removes that barrier by offering financial protection that starts at very low prices, including plans from as low as P20, making insurance feel as
accessible as other everyday purchases. Instead of asking Filipinos to commit to a large premium upfront, it offers small, abot-kayang entry points that fit the way many Filipinos already spend. The brand itself positions this as “Patingi-tingi ang presyo, pero todo ang benepisyo”— small prices, full benefits.

ProtekTODO received a Silver award for “Project Sachet”.

These recognitions place the Palawan Group alongside some of the region’s most respected brands and advertisers, while showcasing how Filipino creativity can drive both commercial impact and social relevance.

“These awards affirm our belief that the best campaigns are those that resonate with real people and help solve real problems. We are so proud of where excellence in creatives and media strategy continues to take us. Whether through PalawanPay’s relatable humor or ProtekTODO’s mission to make insurance more accessible, our goal has always been to create communication that is relevant, understandable, and genuinely helpful to Filipinos,” remarked Bernard Kaibigan, Chief Marketing Officer of the Palawan Group of Companies.

For ProtekTODO, the recognition carries a deeper significance. Project Sachet, created in partnership with Katok by GIGIL as creative agency partner and Havas Media Ortega, Inc. as media agency partner, was built on the brand’s core belief that insurance should not be intimidating or out of reach. Instead, it should be truly abot-kamay (within reach) for every Filipino, especially those who need financial protection the most. By presenting insurance in a simple, affordable, and easy-to-understand way, the campaign sought to bring information and access to underserved communities that have traditionally been left out of financial protection.

The six awards further strengthen the Palawan Group’s growing track record of regional recognition and reinforce its commitment to advancing financial inclusion through innovation, creativity, and Serbisyong May Malasakit.

As the digital wallet of the Palawan Group of Companies, PalawanPay continues to expand its ecosystem of services: from money transfers and bills payment to savings, microinsurance, and other financial solutions through bricktech approach, a proudly Palawan Group model that bridges both physical branches and digital channels to serve Sukis anywhere and anytime. Meanwhile, ProtekTODO remains focused on providing affordable insurance options that help protect Filipino families from life’s unexpected challenges. Whether through its fintech arm, microinsurance offerings, and other business units, the Palawan Group aims to stay true to its promise to be Matatag, Maaasahan, Mapagkakatiwalaan for every Filipino.
