Mapúa University launches in-demand MBA niche elective tracks

In response to growing demand from MBA applicants and students for more defined areas of expertise, Mapúa University, in collaboration with Arizona State University (ASU), is expanding the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program with new industry-focused elective tracks under its E.T. Yuchengco School of Business (ETYSB).

The E.T. Yuchengco School of Business recently introduced new elective tracks under the MBA program that continue to attract strong interest from professionals across industries. These tracks include Financial Technology, Supply Chain Management, Digital Marketing with AI (artificial intelligence), Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Public Health and Technology, Educational Management, HR Management, and Tourism and Hospitality Management.

While an MBA offers a general foundation in core business principles, E.T. Yuchengco School of Business is sharpening its value propositions to meet the market’s demand for focused learning and expertise.

According to Donn Enrique Moreno, Dean of Mapúa University E.T. Yuchengco School of Business, working professionals pursuing an MBA degree aim to deepen their expertise and broaden their career growth and opportunities. Moreno cited examples of those who would benefit from this development.

“For instance, the Educational Management elective track is intended for professionals aspiring to leadership and management roles in educational institutions. Similarly, for Healthcare Management, we can position it broadly for professionals seeking leadership and management roles in healthcare organizations,” Moreno explained.

In addition to offering nine industry-focused elective tracks, Mapúa University E.T. Yuchengco School of Business provides working professionals with a flexible MBA pathway designed to support continuous career and professional development.

“The elective tracks give our MBA students the opportunity to complement their core business and management education with courses aligned with their professional interests and career aspirations. Students may choose a track that is relevant to their industry or the leadership direction they intend to pursue,” he added.

The offering of elective tracks under the MBA program is Mapúa University E.T. Yuchengco School of Business’ way to empower working professionals to build on their current expertise and advance into leadership roles. With these industry-focused elective tracks, MBAs can help shape a career path that would enhance professional mobility and preparedness for leadership opportunities. The different MBA options offered by E.T. Yuchengco School of Business can help prospective applicants identify the elective track that best aligns with their long-term professional goals.

“The program combines core MBA foundations with elective tracks that are designed to build critical business, financial, operational, and leadership competencies. This is going to be made even stronger with ASU-enhanced global learning, digital readiness, and applied learning that matter in today’s evolving industries,” Moreno concluded.

In addition, Mapúa University E.T. Yuchengco School of Business recently received approval from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to offer new MBA programs for its transnational higher education (TNHE) initiative under the ASU Pathway dual degree program. Developed in collaboration with ASU, the MBA program is set to offer Master of Global Management and Master of Leadership and Management.

Mapúa University is the flagship university of iPeople, Inc. – the education joint venture between majority owner House of Investments (the listed holding company of the Yuchengco Group of Companies) and Ayala Corporation. The two conglomerates share an empowering common goal to make world-class education accessible to as many Filipino students as possible
