BingoPlus continues its support in the sports field as it sponsors not one, but two local golf tournaments over the weekend in the province of Cavite and Tacloban City.
On November 7, the Empowering Cancer Patients (ECP) Cup was hosted at the Sherwood Hills Golf Club in Trece Martires, Cavite. The golf tournament was aimed to support cancer patients from various healthcare institutions in St. Luke’s Medical Center, Makati Medical Center, and the Armed Forces of the Philippines Medical Center.
All of these institutions joined forces and came together to raise awareness through sports. Funds were raised to be donated to the mentioned institutions in their development of enhanced programs.
As a major sponsor BingoPlus’ truly continues to show its support for local communities in their sport development initiatives. The event at the Sherwood Hills Golf Club shared a moment of hope, as the funds raised were shared to beneficiaries which are cancer patients and survivors in helping them during a challenging moment in their life. This will allow them to continue on with the necessary treatment that is needed.
On the other hand, the 3rd San Juanico Invitational Golf Cup was also held on November 7 at the San Juanico Golf and Country Club. The tournament was held for charity aimed to help residents in the nearby community, and to the local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (DRRMO) due to the recent typhoon that struck most of the provinces in the Visayas region.
The game was met with unexpected challenges due to the weather, but continued on when the rain stopped, which according to the hosting club showcased a sense of sportsmanship and camaraderie to all participants involved in the tournament.
In line with BingoPlus’ goal to support the grassroots and sports development programs the event also focuses on supporting national athletes in nurturing them from going local and progressing into the international stage.
The proceeds of the event will go to different charities and organizations aimed to help the local communities in Tacloban, and those affected by the typhoon, giving hope while bringing a heartfelt assistance for everyone in need.
