In line with this, OMRON will officially retail the HEM-7120 blood pressure monitor (BPM) at all Mercury Drug stores nationwide.
With hypertension continuing to be among the top causes of death in the country – having accounted for 5.9 percent of total deaths in the Philippines from January to February 2022[1] – further awareness and improved management of the disease remains a crucial national health priority. The OMRON HEM-7120 is clinically validated by the Philippine Society of Hypertension, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the device in blood pressure monitoring. It is equipped with a Cuff Wrapping Guide to guide the user in correctly putting the cuff wrap. Every time an inaccuracy is found caused by unexpected body movements, body movement detection also aids in asking the user to perform the measurement again.
Further, a Hypertension Indicator with a heartbeat symbol would also blink if the user’s systolic or diastolic pressure is higher than the recommended value, making it simple to discern if the user has high blood pressure.
